Visual Inspection:

The motherboard comes with a stylish Red and Black box with the motherboard having the same scheme. The heatsinks provide a well support to the 970 chipset but the rigid design with straight lines is not so impressive.Coming to the socket area,it quite huge as it’s the AM3+ socket. As the chipset is external to the CPU there’s a hell lot of space for aftermarket cooler to take place in also as the GPU slot is far lower from the socket.

It has a memory support upto four DIMMs and MSIs power delivery harnesses an 8-phase SFC.

The memory slots are pushes farther to the right side having the CPU power pins  at the top of the socket. It sports a SATA 6Gbps ports and all RAID 0/1/5/10 capable. For the PCIe config, the mobo chipsets only accepts 22 PCIe 2.0 lanes.
