In this MWC 2016 the winner was not a smartphone but a phone chip manufacturer:Snapdragon.
Having a tough time in 2015 with performance and heating issues this year almost every smartphone which were showcased in MWC sports the latest Snapdragon 810 chip.
As we can see that Samsung’s latest smartphones from the Galaxy flagships :The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge after the S6 and S6 Edge has to be powered by the mighty Snapdragon 810 in the states.
We have also see LG breaking all records for it’s modular G5 is also powered by a SD chip so as Sony for Xperia X Performance.Xiomi’s Mi5 and HP’s Elite x3 also had also used the same silicon .
It’s obvious that it’s a turnaround year for Snapdragon.
Now it’s the era od SD as Xiomi’s entire new phone’s launch event was of SD and same done by LG’s G5 where the SD CEO has showered compliments for the new launch.
The thing that scores for SD is that whichever phone would have it,it will be blazing fast.Qualcomm partnered with Google’s latest Marshmallow and the results was seamless in performance and usage.
It’s a big step for SD as it’s partnering with the leaders of mobile devices like the Samsung’s Exynos, Huawei’s Kirin, and Apple’s A series of CPUs.
As we think another chip maker, the Mediatek or the MTK will find hard times coping with SD.
