In the need of wide free internet service in a developing country like India Google took initiative along with it’s partner -RailTel the the telecom arm of Indian Railways has now rolled out free wifi service to another more 9 stations in India offering around 1.5M passengers avail free internet service across the 10 stations including the first Mumbai Central which was blessed with this facility three months ago on Januray,’16.
So which stations are in the target zone?Well this is a list of all of them briefly point wise:
- Vijayawada Kacheguda.
- Ernakulum Jn.
Google India head of access project Gulzar Azad told PTI-“The network is now live in 10 key stations across the country and will enable about 1.5 million people to access high-speed Internet service. We are scaling up our efforts to roll out the network quickly to cover some of smaller stations where connectivity is much more limited.”He also stressed on the need of easy and affordable internet availability to the max of citizens out there.
As facts,Google-RailTel has partnered to provide free and easy internet to over 100 Stations in India benefiting around 10M passengers by the end of this year,2016.
