Next week most probably the next generation of wireless connectivity will get announced by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group as Mark Powell,executive director at Bluetooth SIG has revealed the Bluetooth 5 will get formally announced on June 16 in London.

The new version of Bluetooth will now reduce the power consumption to 4x and will double the range , according to what Powell has mentioned.
This has been designed to utilize less power but long range radio connections, making it useful for IoT devices.
Coming into broad day light this take has geared up being supported by Apple,Ericsson,Intel,Lenovo,Microsoft,,Nokia and Toshiba as of now.
Apart from only speed and range Bluetooth 5 has also been targeted for full home coverage,automation industrially,outdoor activities,medical usage and ,lot’s more.
“By adding significantly more capacity to advertising transmissions, Bluetooth 5 will further propel the adoption and deployment of beacons and location-based services to users around the world,“said Powell.
