Last month MSI unveiled their first barebone PC and it has got a successor in mean time; the Aegis X,so when guys at Tom’s Hardware(from the source from where we are reporting) rushed at Computex 2016 , they grilled MSI for more details and snapped some photos too.

Though it looks somewhat identical to it’s predecessor Aegis tho it has some improvements under the hood, first things first, they are now being assembled with the Skylake family using a Z170 motherboard dropping the B150 which was used earlier and also upgraded the power supply to 600W.

The board is not that high end top notch one either they aren’t some like flashing LEDs or any good for aesthetics  but just a enough motherboard built for the particular system, Aegis X.

The cooling here is pretty impressive according to me as every part ranging from the GPU,CPU to PSU has it’s own cooling system which will help in fresh exhaust and intakes.

Obviously as it  is a DDR 4 motherboard, the Z170 therefore it doesn’t support any of the DDR3s making a way for two DDR4 memories on either sides. The motherboard have support for M.2s and the case comes with (also the board supports) with  3.5″ and 2.5″ mounts.Cable management is well done and all are pre-assembled.

MSI claims it to be VR ready and why not when it’s having a HDMI port at the front!
